A creative who fell into astrocartography after running their own chart, and spent a summer backpacking their Venus line to see what was there.
How this started
Not with a lifelong interest in astrology. SAB.L came to this from a creative background, ran their own chart more or less at random, and found the part that is genuinely strange about astrocartography: that it does not tell you what you are like, it tells you where.
The obvious next move was to go and look. That turned into a summer spent backpacking along their own Venus line, which was transformative in the way that a summer spent somewhere unfamiliar with very few obligations tends to be — and that ambiguity is more or less the whole reason this journal exists.
Not an astrologer
Worth stating plainly, because plenty of sites in this corner of the internet imply otherwise. SAB.L is an enthusiast rather than a practitioner, has no qualification in this, and does not read charts for people.
That turns out to be the right position for writing about it honestly. Nobody here has a consultation to protect, so the pages can say this has never been demonstrated where that is true, and describe the Saturn line as unpleasant rather than as a growth opportunity.
What gets written here
The journal runs in four sections: the explainers, the two goals most people arrive with — love and career — and the sign-by-sign pieces. The recurring argument across all of them is the one the summer produced: the geometry is real, the meanings are a tradition, and the part where a place changes you is unproven and worth taking seriously anyway.
Where a piece is doing astrology it says so. Where the honest explanation is that you are tired and have not had a free Saturday since the pandemic, it says that instead.
